Henri Fayol, a French industrialist, is now recognized as the Father of Modern Management. In his book “Industrial and General Administration” he gave the 14 Principles of Management.

Principles of management are the guidelines to be followed by every organization. No manager can be effective if he does not follow the principles of management.

CONCLUSION

According to the my survey for the employees and customers of BIG BAZAAR and the interview with the manager, the 14 principles propounded by Henri Fayol regarding management are most applicable in BIG BAZAAR.

BIG BAZAAR follows division of work, Authority and responsibility, equity, order, Discipline, Remuneration, Subordination of individual interest to general Interest, Unity of Command, Unity of Direction, Espirit de Corps and Scalar Chain.
